About Matt
Matt is a Lancaster native and a Navy veteran, he studied forensic dentistry at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida and at the former Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington, D. C. He is a partner and practitioner at Patterson/Votilla Denistry for Life in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Matt was an integral part in giving his expertise to the partial jaw bone that was discovered at Duffy’s Cut. The jaw bone was linked back to the Ruddy family in Ireland due to DNA entombed inside the teeth and to the fact that the Ruddy family had an extremely rare genetic anomaly – They’re born with no upper right first molar a similarity they share with the jaw bone found.
